This is NOT a Bash!
It's a get together for us unfortunate, "poor" oakes who cant make the KZN Bash in September or the National Bash at the end of October.
You will only be admitted if you have an acceptable valid reason why you cant attend any, or both of the formally arranged bashes.
Once you've passed that test, you will be required to be competent in either one or all of the following biking skills;
Spin
Suip
Saag (as in snor)
of wheelie
It's for those who want to make some dust, have a few laughs, a few cold ones with like minded idiots and not stress too much about 1st class facilities to doss in and what they get to eat.
VENUE :
- Doornkloof (Voortrekker Kamp) – Noord Vrystaat
- The nearest tar road is about 20 kms away towards the west (Kroonstad).
- Situated more or less in the middle between Kroonstad, Edenville Lindley & Steynsrus.
- We will erect signs from these towns!

We WILL UPDATE THE LIST ONCE YOUR MONEY LANDS IN THE BANK ACCOUNT
NOTE : ALL ENTRANTS pay the full entry fee, regardless of whether you spend one night or two, sleep late and miss breakfast, drink too much that you forget to eat OR ride a KTM.
I cannot do refunds because any profits (if any) will be donated to the Voortrekkers for upgrade of Doornkloof facilities.

PLEASE enter and pay on time. Your name only goes on the list once you've paid. If you bring a non-dog to the bash you are responsible that he/she behaves (better than you)
ACCOMMODATION:
For your ENTRY FEE you get :
- Entry to the site, (the access gates code will be sent to you beforehand or we will place someone there again)
- Accommodation is on a First “Arrive”, first choose where you wanna sleep basis.
- There are 119 beds in the main camp (with mattress’s only) available in various rooms / dormitories.
- Some rooms have two beds, some more and some even have 8.
WHAT YOU BRING :
- Everyone brings a sleeping bag or your choice of bedding!
- If you prefer camping, there is ample camping space for your own tent. (preferably for the oakes who snore).
PS:
# No electricity for tents, but speak to me to arrange leads and power points.
# Weekend price remains the same whether you sleep on a bed or in your tent
- You pay cash on site for other meals : Boerie Rolls(R 25) & Hamburgers (R35)
- Available from midday on the Friday and Saturday
PLEASE NOTE : The usual, self service honesty bar facility will be available.
PROGRAM :
Friday :
- Supper - Braai Packs available / for sale.
- All the extras will be provided. (Vrystaat pap en sous being the main vegetable)
Saturday :
- Breakfast 07h30 onwards (until about 09h00?) - Bacon, Wors and egg brekkie
- 08h30 - GROUP PHOTO (with bikes)
- You go ride or chill at camp
- Lunch 12h00 onwards (Boeries, burgers etc for your own account)
- Maak vuur - - Skaap Spitbraai - PARTY
Sunday :
- (Lite) Breakfast 07h30 onwards - Leftovers of the spit
- Pack up and go home.
NOTES :
- Recovery vehicle will be available
- Fair cell phone reception.
- Good signal for Whatsapp etc
- Police and Doctors are far away, so don’t go hurt yourself seriously.
- I am more than willing to assist with planning of interesting routes to and from the venue. (Will post some later)
