OK, I'm the proud new owner of a 'free' Vista CX. Well, courtesy of Discovery Vitality (god bless them!) and a Cape Union Mart R999 special on old stock. Haha. Brilliant! This little thing seems quite cool.
My problem is I'm Mac only. The range of Mac apps from Garmin looks pretty good now - downloading tracks etc. I got the firmware updated no problem, for instance.
I want to install the bundled Garmap Version 1 SA Streetmaps and then upgrade to TOPO with the current street maps. That the way to go? Garmap is PC only, and I can't seem to find any way to get it set up. Do I need to track down a friend with a PC and install it from there?
Is there any point? Can I update to TOPO and current street maps and save money, or is it going to be a case of buying the full version? I've got the R20 dvd ready to roll. All a bit confusing... Anyone?
