Mzee
Grey Hound
Isn't life a mystery? I travel almost 13,000kms only to return home and break my leg in two places. That is what happened last Tuesday. I was on my way to the Airport to en route to Kapstaad, then the horror unfolded.
On Beyers Naude the second Robots before the cameras, I am on the left lane, this women over takes me and enters right in front of me and slows down. It was a nightmare. I could not turn left nor right. I was going to bump into her backside ;D. Now all riders know that is worse. So I hit the brakes. It was raining, my tyres were due for replacement that same day. The rest is history. I went sliding down the road.
I was completely shaken. Fortunately, I was fully dressed in my riding gear except for my boots. I did not have a single scratch. The left leg was broken just above the ankle and just below the knee. I am mending well.
