Hi fellow bikers. Been checking out this site for some time now. Stationed down south in the peninsula near a little village Kommetjie. My brother and I have been involved with stripping, fixing and riding bikes since the age of 12.
In '73 I finally saved enough bucks and purchased a 750 Suz waterbus out the box for R1350 cash in the days we lived in Krugersdorp. Travelled extensively around SA & neibouring states clocking up 168000 kms on the waterbus in 6 years. Planned a trip then thru Africa sponsored by Susuki and my father on the waterbus which never happened due to him passing away that year.
Anyway for the last 30 years did not do much riding besides footups RL250 Suz and honda xl 600r. I now finally revived my dream at a ripe ol age to tour Africa and bought a 1200GSA. Wow awsome machine compared to what i was used to.
