Has anyone encountered the problem of the Fuel Pump Controller (FPC) going faulty due to water ingress in the fuel pump cavity on the fuel tank? My GS died on me a while back and I discovered that it was due to water getting into the cavity where the fuel pump system sits. This caused the fuel pump controller circuit to corrode whic caused it to stop working. I see that this problem was remedied by a recall from BMW to replace the FPC and the seal in some of the bike from the UK and the US but not in South Africa.
There was a recall to replace the seal here in SA but not the FPC. I was wondering if this was a problem here in SA and whether any of you guys experienced the same problem?
