While trying to get our bikes from Egypt to Europe late last year, I got onto this little nifty espresso coffee maker. Nothing wrong with the old Bialetti we used on all our travels, but this thing is just on a whole new level.
Except this one is smaller, weighs only 450grams and pump to 16 bars! By bicycle hand pump style, nogal!
It is small enough to make coffee anywhere, caravans, home, office, 4x4's, bike trips, hunting trips, or weekends outside at home, and to top it all it make really decent espresso coffee. Make a shot of espresso, add 100ml more water or to taste and you have a typical SA coffee.
The units are made from high quality materials and will last for many years. The grip and filter has a soft grip feel to it.
While in Europe at the time I called the company in France and went to go and see them. Long story short, our first shipment landed in SA today, and we will market then with the ATG brand.

Handpresso was designed by a Danish guy with a Phd in Innovation, living in France that got fed up with crappy hotel coffee while travelling. The Handpresso Auto unit have been approved by Fiat and will be branded by Fiat as OEM equipment for use in the new Fiat500L. It had to pass very strict criteria and 10 000 cycles use for acceptance by Fiat and some of the other car manufacturers that also are in the process of approval for sale by them.

The Handpresso Auto Unit is more for car, trucks, bikes and work on 12V plug. It fits into a cupholder.

Espresso pods, or, Easy Serving Espresso (E.S.E.) espresso pods, are paper pouches filled with fine-ground coffee and made to the Easy Serving Espresso Consortium standard. The single-serving espresso pod is 45mm in diameter and contains approximately 7 grams of ground, roasted coffee.
Illy and some other companies sell the pods in SA at Spar's and specialist coffee shops.
