I have a set of Toutatech alu panniers that i used twice (+- 600km in all) so 70 000 km later for bike and panniers still looks very good-no dings or nicks. But I dont use them........reason they are bulky and I have a baby everytime I have to fit/remove them. Been doing the two back packs thing(one on the back end one bungy'd to bike. Dont want to spend BIG bucks on soft luggage (set on Takealot for R2900) If I sell panniers what would be a fair price? I made peace with the fact that I will never tour the world,Africa or even all of RSA, but I do want to travel the W/Cape more on overnight and weekend trips and some longer trips.
