Hi All
Three mates and myself are going up to Lake Malawi by bike (3x1200's and 1x990) next week travelling tar most of the way. My mates are all with Discovery and have complete cover including evacuation for the trip. Moi, I'm with Genesis who don't cover anything outside RSA borders.
So I requested travel insurance from TIC, who state that they will only cover me if my bike is less than 200cc. The logic escapes me-how can someone dirtbiking on a 200cc be less risk than us ou ballies on 1200's travelling on road??
Be that as it may...Does anyone out there know of medical insurance (including evac) for SADC countries when travelling on bikes larger than 200cc??
