I've been looking into getting a decent adventure jacket that's really waterproof, has proper protection, but also close to 4-seasons (holy grail!).

Based on above properties, budget & looks I've narrowed it down to 2.

ALPINESTARS ANDES V2 DRYSTAR
+ CE-rated shoulder & elbow protection
+ Easy to get in SA
+ Looks awesome

- Just concerned that even with thermal liner removed it's still way too hot in summer?

SCORPION YUKON ADV
+ Shoulder, elbow, back, chest, kidney protection built-in
+ Vents in abundance

- Can't seem to find stockists in SA, only available through MX Alliance. Thus worried that its fit is not lekker once ordered.

Anyone with experience on any of these jackets?
