Helskloof Pass (Eksteenfontein)

If you've never ridden this exceptionally interesting pass, then put it on your bucket list. Whilst quite challenging in terms of riding, with lots of corrugations, loose rocks and some deep sand, the 14 km long pass offers an astounding variety of desert landscapes and a stunning array of geology. We explore the area in some depth and take a look at how Eksteenfontein came to be back in 1945. This is a harsh place where water is the single most important commodity. Take enough of it with you when you travel this route. There are 3 videos on offer covering the entire pass. Ride safely and maybe don't do this one alone. If you have a fall, no-one will find you for a long time!
