Good news is that Acerbis makes bigger fuel tanks for the CRF250L. The 7.8l capacity is OK for city use, and fuel consumption not too bad (20-25km/l), meaning that you will see a 160km+ range on average.

The Acerbis tank is 12.5l, or 4.7l more than standard, which is great because you can see north of 300km on a tank if ridden conservatively, making the CRF250L ideal for exploring. Not having to fill up every 100km is a game changer for me personally.

Nice thing is that the larger plastic tank is lighter than the smaller OEM metal tank.

Although the tanks look the same, there is a difference between the 2013 and 2017 tank. It looks like the 2017 has a different fuel pump and mounting points differ.
