Okay all
The MT50 is officially for sale.
This is why:
A school buddy owned it, he asked to borrow money from me a while ago to pay rent etc and for his wife who has subsequently left him. He told me a few weeks ago that he was not able to repay me and he gave me the MT50 . The money he owes me is 4K.
Last week he asked for help again, as I also have 2 kids at varsity I/we opted to flog the scoot and all the spares for some money for him. He originally wanted around 8K for the bike and spares, which sounded a lot but if you look at what you pay for less I feel fair.
I have written off the money he owes me and the full amount will be his.
Therefore the scoot is up for grabs for R8000. (transportation excluded)
Information:
Bike is basically complete
Motor kicks over nicely
Wiring needs attention
No papers
Spares include:
Front and rear rims with tyres
Spare tyre
Haynes workshop manual
Chain guard
2 stroke tank
Fuel tank
Rear fender
Spare rear footpeg
Seat (red)
Sprockets (2 rear / 1 front )
2 chains
Airfilter housing
Airfilter housing side cover
Metal inserts for airfilter (not sure what they called)
Battery and holder
Base gasket new
Piston (new)
Rings
Gudgeon pin with circlips
Clutch cable new
New taillight lense
Taillight fitting
Spare indicator
Brake levers for the hubs
New set of brake shoes
Old sets of shoes that can be recovered
Front and rear brake assemblies (loose part that fits into the hub)
Various loose wiring
Spare globes
Front wheel odo cable and brake cable holder/guide)
Packet with bolts and nuts
Helmet holder lock
Some stickers
Front fork yoke assembly
Exhaust rear end
I think the value of these parts plus the bike warrant a R8000 price tag. Anyone is free to offer more
