How far can I go on a leaking clucth master cylinder seal

Tomorrow I am heading for cape town with my 990s, yesterday I noticed some oil spray on the inside of my hand guard.. New master cylinder kit was only 1000km old, question is, can I ride like this? I will keep new oil with so if I lose pressure I can bleed or fill up... I will try and source a new kit today but generally can you nurse it or is it at risk of popping the seal completely and leaving me stranded?
