When I turn my ignition key, the LCD display comes on, but no neutral light nor can I hear the fuel pump, hence I cannot start. If I try several times, turn key on and off, it will eventually come on. Once started she runs perfect. What the heck is this??? Please help. Is there a relay that is perhaps playing up...but then why is the display coming on?
I have had the feeling that my battery is giving up the ghost...BUT...there have been Monday mornings when I've not touched my bike since arriving home from work on Friday afternoon, when I've had to jump start it...BUT..in this case the ignition would come on immediately as normal, but then no vooma in the battery to turn the starter motor over. So..surely that rules out the battery theory..no?
It also only seems to happen when the bike has been standing for a long while...if I stop at a gas station for instance...then when I start it's fine. ??? ???
