In search of the rain

We had a slight down-pour yesterday and this morning I decided to go see how far it rained outside of the city
The river was flowing slightly when I cossed the bridge

End of the boring tar and the start of the gravel

CPF warning signs were everywhere

This dam had no water a few weeks ago

 

[skydiver]

So many roads........so little time

 

[skydiver]

The bush looked nice and green

 

[skydiver]

Found this hill where earthmoving equipment were busy excavating. The entire area had "No unauthorised entry" signs

 

[skydiver]

Puddles of water were still visible on some of the roads

 

[skydiver]

By now the temperature was close to 30 degrees and I looked for some shade

 

[skydiver]

The road home after an enjoyable few hours in the bush on my bike
The clouds were still present so I hope we get some more much needed rain this afternoon
