Insurance for a BMW S1000XR

Hi Guys,

So I tried to trade my BMW F800GSA in on a BMW S1000XR. The financials is all approved and ok but the insurance basically killed the deal.

What is you premium on your S1000XR?

From BMW Insurance:
2015 F800GSA : R641.00
2017 S1000XR : R1880.00

I cannot believe the same insurer charges almost 3x more for the S1000XR.
