Is KTM expensive to commute with?

Here is my situation... I currently ride a BM and it is as reliable you can get.. No issues in 70 000 km. Serviced every 10 000km. It is my only means of transport (because I chose to) and I ride a 60 km round trip every day. Rain or shine. Will a KTM give me that same reliability? I cannot afford for my bike to be in the workshop for a week...or break the bank.

Any comments?
