Got some questions for people who have travelled into Africa.
I'm looking at riding from JHB to Malawi around Easter. Trip will be from 30th March to 14th April - 16 days.
My first question is - is this even a good idea? Or will a hoard of people going home for Easter mean I spend a whole day at each border post?
Second is route. The shortest route is through Zimbabwe but... I don't even like the thought of that. Am I being unfair on uncle Bob's country? Other option is through Mozam but that seems like quite a long route for such a short trip. I want my travel time to and from Malawi to be as short as possible to maximise my time in Malawi.
Lastly, fuel. My bike has a range of between 320 and 400km. Is there any point I will have to make sure to take extra fuel?
TIA
