Hi! I am planning a trip to Lake Malawi end of January and deciding which route to take. The first option is the shortest via Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Has anyone done this route? IS Zimbabwe safe? Beit Bridge easy to get through? Any advice on where to stop over for the night and routes to take will be good.
2nd option is to go via Bots, Vic Falls, Lusaka, Lilongwe. A day or even 2 longer than option 1. Has anyone done this route? Any advice? What route to take? Where to overnight?
