This is a basic solid bike, the engine is amazing for a 250cc, it can pull from 60 to 120km/h in top gear – and that’s with my 112kg weight on it. I bought it as a project bike having watched many Itchyboots episodes and thinking maybe I should go for something small and light. Having now gone through the bike from back to front and top to bottom, over capitalized in the process, I've come to terms with the fact I’m too big for the bike.
This one is quite rare in that it has electric start. It is registered and licensed in my name – It will even come with a roadworthy that is valid to the end of March 2025. It was first registered in SA in 2007, but that's not the year of manufacture, that seems to be 1998.
I would say it punches above it’s class as it goes really well for a 250, seems happy to cruise at 100km/h but has the suspension to soak up whatever you throw at her offroad.
It comes with a stainless-steel aftermarket exhaust, a belly pan, a power point and a clock/thermometer/voltmeter wired in. Head and tail light have been changed to LED.
All the fluids, filters, tyres and the battery are new and the valve clearances set. Comes with a workshop manual. Parts are freely available.
I'm asking R23 000 for it, I'm in Port Elizabeth and my number is 0_8_2_4_6_5_4_5_1_7
