The KLR has the worst brakes in the world, but now there's a cure for that. I had some forum members make me a few parts with the idea of providing an upgrade kit for the local KLR riders.
Here's the first prototype.
And to compare the old and new ones
I haven't had a chance to really test them yet, but my first impressions are that braking has improved 100%. The bike actually stops now, not just eventually slow down to a standstill. I'll be taking the bike out for a run this afternoon to bed the pads and really test it. If I'm happy with it, I'll be able to supply it at around the same cost as a standard disc.
