KLR Exhaust

I am sitting with a little issue so I was hoping my fellow Dawgs can help me out.

When I bought my 2010 KLR 650 it came with a Cowley exhaust which is extremely loud and annoying on the open road. What I noticed is that the smaller part at the end of the canister is missing ??? See pictures

Now I want something softer. I don't know if something can be done with the one I have or an alternative one for not too expensive and that is not as loud as the Cowley.

Please please please give me advice as my ears can't take it anymore............
