KLR handling with raising links

I finally got round to installing the raising links and adjusted the preload to nr1 (was on nr2). The KLR now feels very twitchy in corners. It's probably because of the change in steering angle? It also seems more sensitive to steering input at low speed. Is it just something I need to get used to and what has everyone else experienced with raising links handling (on tar) wise?
