Have any other KLR riders snapped the aluminium rear brake bracket while falling/sliding the bike on the right hand side? See picture...
This renders the rear brake completely un-usable, making the bike a bit more unsafe to ride than when you departed. The replacement has to be ordered from Kawasaki for a few hundred rand .
I'm considering manufacturing a steel, powder-coated replacement for this part, which will be stronger and cheaper than the original. I already have one on trial and it seems to be working well (no crashes yet though).
Anyone interested in this upgrade?
