A whole lot of options ranging from fitting a stiffer spring (R1200 for loose shock), damper and damper piston modifications (cost according to labour & parts required) to rebuilds of leaking and worn shocks.
You can now get your KLR rear shock upgraded with a harder spring, modified damper & reinforced preload adjuster and less wear prone piston ring (pre 2008 model) for as little as R 2600 compared to a R 7000+ replacement.
Or get your OEM KLR shock rebuild with a custom made fully adjustable damper and external reservoir (S.Q.) and still save thousands of Rands compared to buying an aftermarket shock.
