Super report.

Just a question, if the settings are lost with key turn, I seem to remember that there was pre-programmed profiles you can set up.  Would the profiles not be used so you don't have to re-program your settings again after start-up? Just select Profile 1 or 2, etc...

As I understand, the riding mode ie, Sport, Street, Rain, Off Road stays until you change it.  The ABS and TC need to be de-activated each time you start up.  In the Fav's screen you can choose what you want to see.  Have not played with it enough - will be guided by your superior knowledge for now....  :thumleft:

Did not have a lot of time to play, hence my question, was hoping you would know...

Here is an idea of the screens you can scroll through on the computer.  Very easy to operate with the 4 buttons on the left bar.
This is on the ADV, on the R you do not have the suspension related ones.

The steering damper (which comes as standard equipment) does the job

Would that be on both models?

The other thing thing that I always felt lacking on all big dualies is the ability to comfortably run above 180km/h for extended periods. This too has been sorted.

You are right here MJ.  The torque peak is at 7500 rpm.  At 6000 you are doing about 170 on the speedo.  So at 180 you are still in the range where the torque is on the increase.  At 9000 you are doing nearly 250 on the speedo.  It still pulls strong when you open the throttle at 180.

Scary shit, to much bike for me :)

Your Honda 230 was too much bike for you  :peepwall:  ;)

I like this bike... a lot. I'm seeing one in my future... just not sure how far in my future  :)

Thanks SGB, great report, when my dad and Alfie went to the dealer launch they were both really impressed with the bikes......I hear Alfie could be trading in his 950 SE for 1 of these  :thumleft:

True Buff, but be realistic, there will never be anything but Yamaha in you garage.
Even the old faithful KDX was sent on its way :)
