Hey Chaps,
Just picked up the above mentioned scoot. Slight knock coming from the motor which I suspect is either main bearings or big end. If I am right the way to check which one it causing the issue is:
1. Big end - remove head and check for up/down play on conrod
2. Main Bearings - Remove ignition cover and check for play on fly wheel.
Any other ways to check that don't require removal of head?
If I rebuild bottom end, do I need to change top end again as recently done?
Lastly, does anyone have experience of the Hot Rods bottom end kits from the USA?
Much better price than OEM but don't want to take risk on something that I don't know .
