Bought a 2009 250 SX-F from a fellow dog (who has since left the board....). In any case, got to do an oil service on it yesterday. When I pulled the sump plug, it felt funny, then came out with bits of casing thread and some goop. Nice plan: strip the case and then sell it :thumleft:
In any case, I got it to seal. The question, will it be practical to drain the oil though one of the screen holes as to leave the drain plug in place until I can get it repaired? It has one in the bottom and one below the shift lever. Will any of the screen holes allow all the oil to drain?
I suppose if that doesn't work I could try to use a fuel pump to pump out the old oil? What says you?
