I have a really clean year 2000 520 exc, which I bought with no speedometer.
What I'd like to know is - did this year come with a speedo or was it only a odometer / hour meter?
I thought about fitting a second hand digital ktm speedo but the gear drive on the front hub is mechanically driven (rather than what I would imagine is a magnetic pick up for the later model digital speedos).
Please see pic. Any suggestions please? Could I just fit a generic cable driven speedo? Wouldn't want to go the fancy Vapour Trail digital route..
