Hi
Help needed with electrickery please
KTM 525 the lights work but are dim
The charging circuit is fine 13.5V DC at battery ---- white wire ?
Lighting circuit 6-7V AC - yellow wire ?
Pulser and exciter resistances are fine
Ground to yellow about 1 Ohm (0.65 */- 0.15 Spec)
White to yellow 0.3 Ohm (0.16 +/-0.03 Spec) Cheapie meter doesn't zero touching tips together so low readings are dodgy but very close
I put a bulb between yellow wire out of casing to ground and bulb glows marginally brighter than on lighting circuit - Does not go brighter when revving stays the same EDIT with white and yellow wires disconnected the bulb glows bright then blows
Bulb between white and ground bulb is bright and much brighter till it blows
Haven't tested the regulator - rectifier but is it necessary, or is the stator buggered ?
Can these stators be repaired or best to replace .....
Alternatively just keep riding with dim lights, will this eventually damage the charging coil
Maybe something obvious i'm missing or someone has solved previously ?
EEDIT how do I test the regulator rectifier can it affect the other circuit ???fuck im so confused now
Thanks in advance
