Hi guys,
I bought a KTM 65 for my son and I want to freshen it up a bit. New plastics and "new" bolts and nuts all round, as the current ones have lots of scuff marks and kind off rusted.
Starting with the bolts and nuts - I stripped out most of the outside / visible bolts and nuts, and took it in to be electro plated. When I got there, they only plate bling and shiny colours and black and olive green, not the mat silver colours that the original bolts comes, or the colour that those bolt and nuts spare packs that one can buy.
I opted for the plating as it would have been much cheaper, but now the colours will not match.
What are the alternative options? Painting myself after thorough cleaning, but this would be a tedious process.
What advise can you guys give me?
