Hi, I got irritated trying to keep things tidy and keep a record of my clearances. So preferring to save stuff electronically, what started out just as a table soon became a calculator. This helps you work out and find the part numbers for the shims you are checking in the valves.
Save the file as a record of your tolerances. I always save two files for each service. One is how I found them and the other is how I left them. The file names relate to the milage and date e.g. 46567jan11found.xls
In this way you can keep track of wear and what's happening in the tolerance department.
By the way Harley shims fit perfectly, have a greater selection choice and cost a quarter of KTM ones
All the usual disclaimers and don't-blame-me-if-it-doesn't-work-YFF applies - read the notes section.
Kamanya's Valve shim calculator
Any comments or crits welcome.
Edit: Newer version, simpler with scrolling. Enjoy. Any bugs, shout!
