"Cheap-ass" is the mother of all invention.
I need a way of carrying my booty whilst exploring, and am too cheap-skate to buy panniers. Thus, designed a rack on CAD and sent off to steel manufacturer. It bolts into existing mounting holes, but I have yet to buy replacement cap-head screws for this. (so it's zip-tied in the mean time)
To-ing and fro-ing regarding available sections made it a bit heavier than I wanted, but plans are in place to lighten it in the future.
I'm chuffed, now to test it at the end of september!!!
