I have a 2010 KTM 690R which i am considering selling in favour of a 950 Super Enduro.
My 690 is a sweet bike now that i have had the suspension made a little softer and fitted a dampener to it.
I find that i am now planning longer adventure rides to say Vic Falls etc and to make this happen i have to now spend the R25K to have better lights fitted and added tanks and not sure the R25k that good an investment for my needs. Also feel for the bike on the long stretches. ( my bike has 6500km on the clock and have only been on 6 rides with it) so each ride a long one.
I bought the bike with out ever haven ridden one before and that was my error in not really getting the bike i really needed. I sold a GS 800 in favour of the 690 which was a rather radical trade off.
I have never ridden a 950 SE before and don't want to make the same mistake.
I have heard that:
It is wild and over powered and a hand ful, not for the faint hearted.
Has small tanks with limited range but this can be remedied.
Have not heard anything else with regards to reliability etc or problems.
Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Should i decide to buy one, what should i expect to pay and should i sell my 690 what would i expect to get for it?
