KTM 990 ADVENTURE S,starting problem

Need advice!
Got a 990 adv S KTM that does'nt want to start from time to time. I go riding sometimes,stop to have a smoke, switch the bike of, and then when I want to start it again it just makes a clicking sound. When I put jumpers on it, it starts at once, and when I switch it of and on again it starts without a problem!
Anybody with advice?
