KTM 990 Fuel Starvation

Just got on the highway Saturday for a quick 2-day sojourn to Parys, when the bike (8 months old) started misfiring!  I hardly made it to the KTM dealer in Centurion.  Apparently the 95 Octane's alcohol content is too high, so it burns through the fuel filter and then fuel starvation sets in.  Happening all over now and to GS's as well.
Anyone else come across this yet?
