KTM 990....What oil?

On my 950, KTM recommended a Castrol Semi-synthetic multigrade, so in the event of needing oil in the middle of africa, you could top up with either a mineral or synthetic oil. On my 990 (diff KTM agent..) they ONLY recommend Motorex...at a ZILLION rand per shot......WHAT do you use........?
