How do you measure seat height correctly?
Does the bike have to be held upright by someone and then measure from the floor to the lowest part of the seat?
I have a 2004 950 Adventure, the non-s according to the decals.
I have had the oppertunity however to testride a 990R last week and noticed that the height of my bike is the same as the 990R.
I am on the balls of my feet on both.
I am the second owner and am not sure if the suspension was maybe upgraded/changed to s-spec by the previous owner?
How would I be able to tell the difference between the s and non-s?
Would there be a huge difference in seat heights when sitting on it?
I know that pre-load plays a roll in this, but would it be possible to be unable to tell the diffs?
I thought of measuring the centrestand height as the s does have a higher/longer one?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
