THis Holiday I had teh oppertunity to ride a KTM 990 SMT from Mosselbay to George over Outeniqua pass and back to Mosselbay.

AWESOME bike!!!

BUT, at 160 the front end goes into a wobble tanklsapper that will let any biker shit his pants!!
Bike has 3000km on the clock.

Tyre pressures was 100%.
I thought it was suspension being too soft, so made it harder, I then could go to 180 but had to tap off.

If I move to the pillion seat, speeds can go up to 210 NO problem.

So today another friend of mine came to my house. He bought a KTM 950 SM, with 12 000km on the clock. He told me about how great the bike is, but complained that at 160 it goes into a wobble tankslapper of note. Same as I got on the 990 SMT.

So?

Who knows what is wrong??

When you ride it, it feels as if there is NO weight on the front end??

Even if you overtake a car, and nail it to the redline at say 100, it then also goes into the same wobble tankslapper  ???
