We met at Ryder Motorad in Hillcrest at 7h30 to depart at 8h00.
9 bikes pitched and Ian had his wife as well.
2 x Ktm 990’s…….Andre and Ian
1 x Ktm 950……….Josh
3 x Bmw 800’s…..Andy , Kim and Peter( Bonova)
2 x Bmw 1200 Adv’s…..Allen and myself( The Badger)
1 x Bmw 1200 GS………Simon( EssBee)
It was a nice cross section of bikes and riders so we dropped into a chilly misty Valley of a Thousand hills. I was a bit worried that there would not be any views due to the mist hanging around but thank goodness it burnt off fast.
We crossed the Inanda river above Inanda Dam and headed up and along the pipeline route. You can never get tired of this route as the views are spectacular. We stopped for a break at a shabeen next to the river. After that we headed towards Nagel Dam and then exited the valley at Cato Ridge and said our goodbyes.
Thanks to everyone that joined and we will see you again in the bush somewhere.
