This section between CatoRidge and finish of day 2 of "The Dusi" is probably one of my favourite trails.

Lekka pic Trevor , I got video of a certain 690 doing a flip on top of a hill climb will post tomorrow!!

Hey what a cool ride! Enjoyed the company of all our guys on the trip and we had much fun along the way. I at times remarked how the XR's were often to be found at the head of the group. Not too shabby then for an old design bike. trevorwb would at times chase ahead on his 950SE as is his way in the sticks when the opening presents itself. As is customary with our crowd the XR's were never far behind. Through the fast sections all I had to do was a twist of the wrist to keep up with Trev coz going at warp speed and life preserving attitudes always in mind there is no chance that an orange 200kg 950SE petrol bowser would be faster on semi open terrain than a sorted 650L.
I think the blast through the game reserve (to me at least) was the highlight of the trip.

There were other times I remember, early on we took the easy out from V-Macs and it took a while to reasemble the crew after a hillclimb or two. Trevor always keen blasted up the first hill. Can the XR do it - Yes it can. So 8 of 10 managed to get up the first hill - and from there things just got better.

We carried on from there and the rest of the day was history, slow bikes - fast bikes. It don't matter anymore. End of day we had shabeen beer at a reasonable rate at Nellies.
What more can be asked for.

crappy cell pics to follow.
