Built by Lambretta Concessionaires in 1959, the Scottish Six Days Trials scooter was limited to a run of just three machines, with the registration numbers 240GPL (competitor No 7), 835GPJ (competitor No 3) and 171GPF (competitor No 8).

Starting life as standard Series1 Li 150's, the machines where prepared by Rex White and Tony Sutton, who had to make a number of changes in order to prepare them for the competition. The factory fitted exhaust was removed and, in its place, was an exhaust that swept up and over the engine casing on the kick-start side of the machine. At the front of the scooter a Model D mudguard was used, and the Li legshields where cut down to Model D proportions. Just below the headset a small Model D-style headlight was fitted. To provide better handeling capabilities at the front of the scooter the Li forks where changed to Series1 TV items, as these had dampers fitted.

L-shaped angle iron brackets where attached to the rear of the floor section to prevent the rider's feet slipping off. To strengthen the wheels a steel hoop was welded around the rims.

So that the rider's weight was shifted forward, the seat was moved forward and an LD grap handle was mounted behind the seat. The scooter had a flat rear carrier for the spare wheel. Each of the three machines was sprayed white.

During the Scottish Six Days Trials the three machines where ridden by Lewis Ludo Moore, Geoff Parker and Alan Kimber with Jack Hornsby, Mike Karslake and John Bennett in reserve. The six days event included sections with rock-strewn streams, hairpin bends, narrow track and 1in3 gradients, all ably delt with by the Lambrettas. None of the riders won any awards during the event, but all three completed it without any major failures.
