My friend and I are planning a Lap of Africa. Well aware of the fact that not every mile would be epic but its been a life long dream.
Will be using KLR 650's.
Know more or less what to expect from Cape Town to Cairo from previous trips but have no idea what happens thereafter through Libya & Algeria towards Morocco and know even less about the east coast back to Cape Town.
Any and all Advice would be appreciated...
We still have lots of time for planning.
How much Fuel should we prepare to carry at once?
What would be the most dangerous stretch?
What is a must on the way exp "we will climb kilimanjaro and dive red sea what else is an absolute must?"
Planning to do it over 6 months - what time of the year would be the best to start?
What is the best way going about setting up a website and a charity for our trip?
After lots of consideration we felt the KLR would do the job! would you agree???
Any recommendation for medical insurance " has always been expensive to get all risk cover with my current one"
Will be getting carnets for bikes! "any other paperwork needed Bike related?
