Haven't posted i trip in many years. Thought I might give it a go, as it is good for keeping record and I suppose for info if anyone wants to do the same areas.
This happened last december where I did a trip from Centurion to Stillbaai to visit Family and Friends.

So the date was about (this is why you need to do these reports while it is fresh in your mind, cause I really can't recall the details..) 20 December and I was ready to hit the road.
Today will be tar with the idea of reaching Katse.

So there I went on my way to Katse via Oranjeville and lunch stop in Clarence,

So the stop in Clarence was mostly for beer  :big grin:

The hail catches me and I almost get struck by lightning. The strike is so close I actually felt the shock through the bars

Arrived at the lodge in one piece and set about firing up the Primus to make some din dins

Lekker tired and lekker sleep, I get a good rest before hitting the village chief road to Sani tomorrow.

Awesome day to go riding. ATGATT police would have arrested me as todays riding was minus my jacket.  ;D

SANY0037.JPG

Run around a bit for extra petrol (in case), and go in search of the so called Village Chief rd.

This Photo is taken just before the decent if I remember correctly.

SANY0040.JPG

The decent is steep and I manage to boil the back brake on the way down…

The rd itself is fantastic and true to KTM nature I manage to put a few smileys in the rim on todays route,

SANY0043.JPG

Rocky climbs and rocky descents are the on the order of the day with green lands on the lows and the highs,

Downside of traveling ace is that many photo opportunities are missed  :(

Sunburnt me  ;D

At least just before heading out to Sani there is a beer stop. I think this stop is there for all the chinese construction that seems to be going on in the area.

SANY0064.JPG

The scenes are great and I wish I had a proper cam and some mad skillz,

Tired enough to make the floor sleep comfortable.

What Twisty awesomeness awaits,

Sani done I set course for the coast. The Red Waters of Port St Johns await

SANY0095.JPG

I have lunch in Port St John's, a burger I think.
Spend hours trying to find a coastal route to Coffee Bay, but fail dismally.
End up  taking the crappy route on tar in the end.

Coffee bay is truly spectacular and easy on the eye,
