Jon, thanks once again for organising this stunning ride, it ranks right up with some of the best rides I've done.
I trailered throught o the start of the ride early Friday morning, and we set off over some stunning privately owned land tracks through into lesotho, and then followed cattle and GPS tracks mostly, through breathtaking scenery both in Lesotho and over the escarpment. The scenery wasn't the only breathtaking aspect, as can be expected from any @JonW ride. River crossings, drowned bikes and the discovery that the one specialist spanner need to save the day happened to be lurking in a toolkit ( Removing the KTM350 spark plug almost requires removing the engine without it) We went off track a few times, with I think everyone having their share of horizontal time, luckily nothing major, as recovery in that part of the world would be a huge challenge. My biggest challenge was conquering the downhills, as they are long, bumpy, and very steep. I can definitely say that I am a lot more confident on them now, and just the knowledge of what you and the bike can actually do makes a big difference.
A simple supper rounded off the day.
THe next day was a scenic loop visiting various viewpoints, with some explorations up and about some new valleys to see what we could see, followed by a traverse across the rolling hills and an enjoyable ride back down into South Africa to the cars. Having done this ride in January this year, it is amazing just how the weather can change things, with the drier conditions this time making life a lot easier.

Anyway, thanks once again Jon for a fantastic ride.

Nooit.... with Jon???
Look broe, with Jon 'that point there' is the track, and how you get there is the ride.... you don't learn do you? 😋

A simple supper rounded off the day.

If Jon did the lion's share of the cooking again then I regret even more I could not join this ride, I remember his 'special mix of spices' well still.
Next time, which must be in '25 as this year's kinda full already.

Oh, you chaps didn't lead a few cattle down that pass on the way back eh? ;)
