Lesotho, Kao-mine road condition

Hi Guys, I need to know the currant road condition of the first 20km north of Lejoine on the Kao-mine road.
My son needs to do it in a bakkie to visit the mine.

I know the normal (more used) road is from the north via Letseng mine but that is too far out of the way.
