Absolutely wonderful report!  I also want to do that one day but don't know Lesotho at all.  I'll get very lost.
 
I wanna take my wife as pillion on our holiday via Lesotho to Swaziland and Moz. Will have to hide these pics!  ;D

No ways, Lourens! You will not get lost, not with Google Earth at your fingertips. Although I had Allan with me, and for this I am SO thankful, it was not for navigation that Allan was worth his weight in gold, but for company, encouragement and just plain friendship.
Our track had been made with GE and put into my old GPS. I followed it and it was deadly accurate. Allan had his base map and SA Topo from Garmap, and even that had a few blupses...
Even if you do not have a GPS, you can use a 2 inch roll of paper with your route on it, or just plain and simply a good map. Your odo is your friend, when you use paper.
Do it! You are sooooo close, being in Gauteng.

Lesotho is a awesome place to go riding!! Nice report, mine won't have as many pictures though. Camera was acting up a bit.
