Thingking my baby's way to heavy to attept that ILL walk will not puch her just walk NEE ill just stay down there wave to the others and find another route

Chaps ,

Stefan is quite correct about WFO , polite politically correct name is wide full open , but the actual name the club was christened with back then when men rode off road on bikes with 3 inches of suspension was Wide F#*@king Open .

Some chaps say those words when toiling up hills or paddling through mud and stuff .

The policy is to give a reasonably competent rider on an average bike a solid ride , at an average speed of about 40 km/ hr .

It must be safe and well marked , and as long as you are fit , you will have no problems .

We are hosting a national event at Crieghton on 7 October , please feel free to visit this little farming village and see for your selves .

The events are very popular , because they are well marked and safe . The venues are family friendly , and the sport is run by people passionate about the game , not out there to make a fast buck .

visit the web site www.enduronatalWFO.co.za

But I urge you to visit .

I am planning to do a ride to the event on friday on my DR , basically the route I rode to get to Himeville last weekend . That will be about 260 km , mostly dirt . Then on the sunday after the event , ride home , some of the way along the route Stefan took chaps this last sunday .

Oh yes , I have actually recently resigned from the board of MSA . Because of the impending move to UK , I am stretched time wise without jumping on planes to Jhb for meetings .

But any one who wants to pop along to watch a real WFO event , you are most welcome .

Visit and watch ? What about ride?
I will be doing a novice/clubmans WFO sometime.

Good luck with riding with the collar bone. I had a break about 2 months ago, took 4 weeks before I could ride on anything but tar. Only now feeling comfortable offroad.

Sharkey , yes please come along for the ride .

Just keep an open mind , it may be a toughee , and ride the lightest bike you can find . KTM 200 or KTM 125 ex would be good .

My trusty mountain goat KDX200 will be pressed into action. Must just get 100% riding fit after the collar bone break.

Hey hey , my collar bone is getting better !

My boney is back home , washed all the Lesotho dirt off , tonight we start the rebuild .

Another week or so and I'll be ready for a gentle valley ride of about 140 km .

See you out there !

Hey Gerry, glad to hear things are coming along. Looking forward to the ride! :)
