Two years ago a group of us from Pmb/Hilton decided to do a trip to Lesotho. When we left Pmb on the Friday morning little did we know we were riding into one of the fiercest storms of the winter! Our night spent in Matat was punctuated with heavy rain and thunder, and, when we awoke the next morning the sky was grey, and it was still raining, snow visible just below the mist line.

Amazingly by 10am it was a beautiful clear day, and we set off for quacha's .... It was bitterly cold, but the scenery was absolutely spectacular!

We wanted to do the "new" road Losper had recommended from Quacha's to Ramatsediso, but unfortunately the high parts were completely obliterated, it ending at the top of a pass in thick snow with the day rapidly dying.... we were already wondering whose motorbike to burn first to keep us warm during the night should we have to say!

So, the question, and maybe Losper will know, if we arrive at Ramatsediso by 7 am, will there be more than enough time to do the route down to quacha's, and then on to Maletsunyani, to spent the night there??

I have put in a few pics of our spectacular but failed trip.
