I thought it would be useful to put together a database/list of some good places to get metal number plates made.
I refuse to buy the plastic ones, they just break or fall off. The metal ones, you can drill, bend, etc. no problem.
But they're becoming harder and harder to find.
I recently needed to get one made, and discovered that the 2 places I tried here in Stellenbosch now only do plastic ones.
To start the list, I know of a shop in Claremont, Cape Town (from when I stayed there):
It's the 'THULE' bicycle accessories shop near Olympic Cycles in Imran Haron rd (used to be Landsdown rd).
